Setting a new benchmark for Fixed Wireless Access solutions – how our solution is different to what’s offered by typical mobile carriers

In a bold move set to shake up traditional connectivity models, Teleauora has introduced its next-generation Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) network. This has been purpose-built for the growing demands of smart communities and enterprise estates. Unlike conventional carrier FWA solutions, which rely on shared public mobile infrastructure, Teleauora’s solution delivers gigabit speeds, ultra-low latency, and end-to-end control via a private 5G mmWave network.

The network, originally developed and deployed by Prospecta Utilities for master planned communities like GemLife, is now being brought to global markets by Teleauora, developed to scale the solution, taking it to the UK and Europe in exciting next steps.

“Most FWA offerings today are built as consumer add-ons to existing mobile networks,” said Grant Smith, Founder of Teleauora and former Head of Telecommunications at Prospecta Utilities.

“We’ve flipped that model entirely. We’ve built a private mmWave network from the ground up, designed specifically for the needs of communities and businesses, rather than for mobile phone users” said Grant.

Using Airspan’s AIR5G 7200 radios and operating in the high-frequency 28 GHz mmWave band, the Teleauora network delivers speeds of up to 2 Gbps and near-zero latency. Outdoor directional antennas ensure precision and performance, while full ownership of the infrastructure enables complete control over quality of service, upgrades, and integration.

“Our solution supports far more than just internet,” Grant explained.

“We’re talking about smart locks, solar inverters, irrigation systems, energy management, media delivery, even telehealth. We’re really proud to enable solid digital infrastructure for connected living” he said.

Unlike traditional telcos that rely on indoor, mobile-like routers and shared towers, Teleauora’s approach uses directional, outdoor-mounted Customer Premise Equipment (CPE), aligned with nearby base stations to maximise speed and stability.

“Carriers use a mobile-first network to do something it wasn’t necessarily designed for,” Grant said.

“But we’ve designed a fibre-like experience delivered wirelessly—but with enterprise-grade integration, performance, and scale.”

Teleauora also touts significant cost advantages, with deployments coming in at up to 40% less than traditional fibre installations. By removing reliance on incumbent networks and wholesale access fees, the model enables faster rollouts, better return on investment for developers, and tailored service models for operators.

“Our model gives property developers, operators, and communities total control over their digital future,” Grant said.

“We’re solving connectivity issues, particularly in underserved areas, but we’re also unlocking possibilities for future automation, innovation, and next-generation living” he said.

As smart infrastructure becomes increasingly central to real estate value, resident experience, and energy efficiency, Teleauora’s purpose-built FWA network offers a compelling alternative to legacy telecommunications.

“This is what the future of connectivity looks like. It’s dedicated, decentralised, and designed to support the way we live now and where we hope to go next.”
